Metro Collect

Our Story

Metropolitan Revenue Collections, also known as Metro Collect, is a specialist collections and recoveries business within the Alefbet Holdings group.

Built on the strength, infrastructure, and experience of one of South Africa’s established collections and recoveries portfolios, Metro Collect was created to respond to a specific market need: a focused, technology-enabled, transformation-aligned collections partner for public and private sector institutions.

Our roots form part of a broader entrepreneurial journey that began in 2004, when the foundations of the Alefbet Group were established. From humble beginnings, the group has grown into a diversified business employing more than 2,500 people across multiple brands and service lines, including collections, recoveries, business process outsourcing, and related support services.

Today, Metro Collect combines the agility of a specialist collections brand with the backing of a larger group. We provide full-service debt collection solutions across early-stage, late-stage, and pre-legal collections, supporting large corporates, municipalities, state-owned enterprises, credit bureau services, and other institutions requiring reliable revenue recovery support.

As a majority black-woman-owned, transformation-aligned enterprise, Metro Collect is committed to delivering collections solutions that are professional, compliant, data-led, and responsive to the needs of the South African market. Our approach is supported by experienced people, robust systems, operational know-how, and a clear understanding of the sectors we serve.

Our entrepreneurial mindset, operational discipline, and commitment to service excellence remain central to who we are. We are proud to be part of the Alefbet Group, while standing as a specialist collections brand with a clear purpose, a defined market focus, and a strong commitment to our clients.
